by adminapri September 29, 2025 0 commentsMay 8, 2025 – The Indonesian Blue Swimming Crab Association (APRI) conducted a coordination visit to the East Java Provincial Fisheries Branch Offices (Cabdin KP) in Tuban and Situbondo Regencies. This visit was part of an ongoing effort to accelerate collaborative initiatives in support of sustainable and traceable blue swimming crab (BSC) fisheries in the region.
The meetings focused on discussing strategies to enhance BSC fishery programs, including fisher capacity building, implementation of traceability systems, and strengthening multi-stakeholder collaboration for effective fisheries governance at the local level.
“Collaboration between APRI and the local Fisheries Branch Offices reflects a shared commitment to preserving blue swimming crab resources while promoting socially and environmentally responsible fishing practices,” stated an APRI representative during the visit.
This initiative is part of APRI’s long-term agenda to improve BSC fisheries management through science-based approaches, technological innovation, and strategic partnerships across sectors.
