APRI Meets Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs to Discuss DHE-SDA Regulation Impact on Blue Swimming Crab Industry

The Indonesian Blue Swimming Crab Association (APRI) held a strategic meeting with the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs (Kemenko Pangan) to address the implementation of the Foreign Exchange from Natural Resources Exports (DHE-SDA) regulation and its impact on the seafood export industry.

The meeting, held on May 12, 2026, at the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs office, was attended by APRI Chairman Dr. Ir. Kuncoro Catur Nugroho, M.M., along with Board Member Dr. Wita Setioko, M.M. The session served as a platform for APRI to present key concerns and recommendations regarding the policy.

During the discussion, APRI highlighted several critical issues, particularly the challenges posed by DHE-SDA requirements on business liquidity, export efficiency, and the overall sustainability of the blue swimming crab industry. As a sector heavily reliant on international markets, regulatory adjustments can significantly affect operational flexibility and global competitiveness.

APRI emphasized the importance of aligning government regulations with the unique characteristics of the seafood supply chain, which is highly dynamic and time-sensitive.
