APRI and Blue Coastal Maritime Planting 1,000 Mangrove Seedlings in Gresik

Monday, October 5, 2026 — An inspiring collaborative initiative took place in Kramat Village, Mengare Island, Gresik Regency, featuring the planting of 1,000 mangrove seedlings. This strategic environmental action was jointly carried out by the Indonesian Blue Swimming Crab Association (Asosiasi Pengelolaan Rajungan Indonesia – APRI) and Yayasan Pesisir Biru Maritim as part of ongoing efforts to restore coastal ecosystems.

The preservation of aquatic ecosystems heavily relies on the delicate synergy among three critical elements: mangroves, seagrass beds, and coral reefs. Damage to any single component can trigger long-term, cascading ecological impacts throughout the coastal environment.
