Prima Cakrawala Group Actively Implements Fishing Gear Swap Program in Serang, Banten

Serang, Banten – December 23, 2025 – Prima Cakrawala Group (PCA) continues to demonstrate its commitment to sustainable fisheries by actively implementing a fishing gear swap program, transitioning from conventional fishing nets to environmentally friendly fish traps (bubu) across its supply chain in Serang, Banten.

As part of this ongoing initiative, PCA Group once again distributed bubu fishing gear assistance to local fishermen in Banten Province on December 23, 2025. The distribution was carried out at two strategic locations, Pakuhaji and Tirtayasa, located in Serang Regency, Banten.

The distribution of the bubu fishing gear was conducted by several representatives of PCA Group, who directly engaged with fishermen to ensure the equipment was properly delivered and could be effectively utilized in daily fishing activities.

This fishing gear swap program aims to support local fishermen while promoting the use of more sustainable and selective fishing methods. Compared to traditional fishing nets, bubu traps are considered more environmentally friendly as they help reduce bycatch and minimize damage to marine ecosystems.

Through this initiative, PCA Group reinforces its role as a responsible stakeholder in the fisheries supply chain by aligning its operations with sustainability principles and supporting coastal communities. The company believes that adopting bubu fishing gear will not only improve fishermen’s productivity but also contribute to the long-term preservation of marine resources.
