PT KAIA Anugerah Indonesia continues to demonstrate its commitment to sustainable fisheries by distributing environmentally friendly crab pots (bubu) to fishermen in Raja Ampat, Papua—one of Indonesia’s most important marine biodiversity hotspots.

This initiative supports the adoption of selective and marine mammal-safe fishing gear, helping reduce bycatch and minimize interactions with marine mammals while strengthening the sustainability of blue swimming crab fisheries. The program also supports responsible fisheries management in remote coastal communities at the easternmost edge of Indonesia.
