PT SMB Distributes Crab Traps and Conducts Small Vessels Document Socialization to Support Traceability and Sustainable Fisheries

This initiative is part of the company’s preparation for the upcoming Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA) compliance, which will take effect on January 1, 2026.
In addition to distributing crab traps, PT SMB also conducted a Small vessel Document (PAS Kecil) socialization program for small-scale fishermen. PAS Kecil is a legal vessel documentation required for small fishing boats in Indonesia and is essential for: Strengthening product traceability
Verifying vessel identity and legality
Supporting compliance with national and international fisheries regulations
Enhancing transparency throughout the crab supply chain
By educating fishermen about PAS Kecil, PT SMB ensures that product traceability—from fishing vessel to final buyer—meets global documentation expectations.
