APRI 2nd Quarterly Meeting 2024 : Facing Challenges for Blue Swimming Crab in the Future
by adminapri July 5, 2024 0 commentsThe Routine Meeting of APRI with 20 APRI Members, who are industry players in the blue swimming crab processing sector, was also attended by the Ministry of Investment / Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) and the Institute For Development of Economics and Finance (INDEF).
The presence of BKPM and INDEF at this meeting was to discuss the potential of blue swimming crab fisheries in Indonesia, which is one of the high-value fisheries commodities.
The meeting also presented several APRI programs in innovation and technology development for the hatchery and grow-out of blue swimming crab, presented by Mr. Wita Setioko.
APRI’s programs related to zero waste, such as processing of crab shell by-products into chitin and chitosan, were presented by Mr. Ir. Bambang Arif Nugraha, S.TP., MBA.
This activity continues to monitor the progress of APRI’s Fishery Improvement Projects (FIP) and updates aimed at enhancing fisheries management in Indonesia, as presented by Dr. Ayu Ervinia.
The Closing Activity involved internal discussions among all APRI members, who are stakeholders in the blue swimming crab fishing industry, led by Mr. Ir. Bambang Arif Nugraha, S.TP., MBA.
