APRI Attends Meeting of the Committee for Sustainable Management of BSC Fisheries (KPPRB) Lampung Province

Monday, November 23, this activity, which was held offline and online, was to discuss the achievements of the working groups (Pokja) and future action plans for sustainable crab fisheries in Lampung. Fishery exports from Lampung reached Rp. 1.7 trillion. This amount is an accumulation from January to august 2021.

total export volume of marine and fishery commodities from Lampung reached 12.2 million tons. From January to August, BKIPM has also escorted 1,117 shipments from Lampung to various destination countries. In terms of commodities, shrimp is a mainstay product from Lampung with an export value of IDR 811 billion. Next is the ranjungan with a value of Rp. 173 billion.

This meeting want to collection of biological and socio-economic data analysis of crab fisheries. The purpose of implementing this activity is to update the biological data of the crab fishery that has been carried out during 2020, update the data on the crab fishery sector that has been carried out during 2020, accommodate and agree on inputs related to the crab fishery data to be submitted at the Lampung KPPRB meeting later. It is hoped that the outcome of this meeting is a recommendation regarding data collection and biological and socio-economic data on crab fisheries for the Lampung KPPRB report material.
