Lamongan, April 16, 2026 – To strengthen the governance of blue swimming crab exports and ensure a seamless supply chain, the Indonesian Blue Swimming Crab Association (APRI) facilitated a strategic discussion between industry stakeholders and government authorities at the PPN Brondong Hall, Lamongan.

The audience focused on the technical aspects of issuing the Initial Sheet (Lembar Awal) and the Certificate of Analysis (CoA). These two documents are critical requirements for ensuring traceability and maintaining the high quality standards of Indonesian fishery products in the global market.

Full Support from Port Authorities
The event was attended directly by the Head of the Brondong Archipelago Fisheries Port (PPN), Mr. Nur Alimin, S.St.Pi., M.Si. In his remarks, he emphasized that data accuracy and efficient fishery administration services are vital to supporting the competitiveness of local commodities.

The forum also brought together various relevant technical agencies, including:

UPT PPP Bulu, UPT TPI Lamonganm and IPPP Campurejo also Technical staff specializing in the Catch Certificate (SHTI) system.

Lamongan: A Hub for Blue Swimming Crab and Downstreaming
Lamongan Regency remains one of the largest producers of blue swimming crab in Indonesia. Consequently, alignment between government regulations and field operations is essential to ensure that the “downstreaming” (hilirisasi) of the crab industry remains robust.

“This activity serves as a vital space for dialogue. We want to ensure that every policy, especially regarding export document administration, is well-understood by business actors to prevent any bottlenecks in the downstreaming process,” stated an APRI representative.

Optimizing CoA for tracebility
The productive discussion held at the PPN Brondong Hall also addressed technical challenges in SHTI data entry. By having technical staff present, business owners could directly consult on administrative hurdles, aiming for a more transparent and efficient issuance process for the Initial Sheets and CoA.

Through this audience, it is hoped that the coordination between APRI, PPN Brondong, and related agencies will grow even stronger, fostering a crab industry that is sustainable, competitive, and beneficial for the coastal communities of Lamongan.
