BSC sustainable management activity in Betahwalang Village, Demak District, Central java have started in September 2017 to date have undergone several developments. This meeting event was held on 4-5 April 2018 in Unggaran, Semarang Central Java Province and attended by several representatives form APRI, SFP, NFI Crab Council, Diponegoro University, LINI – The Indonesian Nature Foundation and Enumerators. This 2 days meeting was discussed about Evaluation Activity Strengthening Fisherman Society of BSC Sustainable Fisheries Management In Betahwalang Demak, Central Java.

BSC sustainable management activity in Betahwalang Village, Demak District with the aim of: i) encouraging fishermen to improve compliance; ii) the conversion of gear to environmentally gear type; iii) minimize the impact of losses that may be incurred as a result of theapplication of the rules and; iv) mapping the conservation area in Betahwalang through collaboration management. The management activities of BSC fisheries in Betahwalang, Demak are: i) data collection and management activities to support traceability, recording and compliance improvement system; ii) strengthening the capacity of communities and fishermen institutions in managing fishery resources; iii) Vessel Tracking System to strengthen traceability system and conservation area determination; iv) make environmentally friendly fishing gear.Other than that in this meeting also discussed about Revise Work Plan and outsourcing need ( human resources, budget, time line ) for 5 Program component: 1) Data collection 2) Strengthening existing conservation areas 3) Crab cages for Egg berried female 4) Gear exchange 5) Strengthening policy support from government.
