Innovation for the Management of Crab Shell Waste with IPB and CV Biochitosan

Blue Swimming crab shells can be useful in the right hands, 7-8 February 2022. APRI as a leader in the Indonesian fisheries sustainability program also provides maximum support in the development of TPLCT (Integrated Shell Waste Storage Site) in the Penta helix collaboration involving village governments, academia, the processing industry, and users of crab shell products (CV Bio Chitosan, Biofarma, Indesso, CV Lentera Cahaya Abadi, etc.), crab fishing village communities and the media.

As a concrete manifestation of the implementation of this program, APRI became the supervisor and field assistant for the final assignment/capstone project for undergraduate students in Agricultural Industrial Engineering, FATETA IPB, and research on chitosan, glucosamine and other derivative products at the Department of THP, FPIK, IPB.
