Asosiasi Pengelolaan Rajungan Indonesia (APRI) holds its second annual quarterly meeting (APRI Quarterly Meeting) in July 11, 2020. This meeting is held routinely every three months for coordination, information sharing and evaluation for and from APRI members, the Board APRI and APRI partners. The meeting was held through the Zoom Cloud Meeting which was attended by 18 APRI members who were fisheries processing actors. The meeting this time focused on the discussion of Rajungan Fisheries towards Chain of Custody (CoC) Certification.
The meeting opened with remarks from Bpk. Kuncoro Catur Nugoho as the Chairperson of APRI, continued with the delivery of a letter written by Ed Rhodes NFI-CC delivered by Dr. Hawis Maddupa as Executive Director of APRI. The agenda continued with the presentation of the FIP development report and APRI activities in the May – July 2020 period by Dr. Hawis Madduppa and Bambang Arif Nugraha (Secretary General of APRI) who submitted the Rajungan Solidarity Action Report 1781945 that APRI and partners had carried out in helping fishermen deal with Covid-19. At this meeting APRI invited Mr. Hirmen Syofyanto from the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) of Indonesia to deliver material on crab fishery Chain of Custody (CoC).
The meeting ended with an internal APRI discussion that discussed the follow-up of CoC certification to be carried out by APRI members.
