APRI attend Preparation Meeting about US-FDA Visit to Indonesia

Preparation meeting about United States Food and Drug Administration (US-FDA) visit was held on Thursday, March 31st 2016 in Mina Bahari II Building, Central Jakarta. Fish Quarantine and Inspection Agency (BKIPM) from Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) invited several division and also an association to get involved in this event, including APRI. The purposes of this meeting is to make sure everything prepared well for the upcoming visit from US-FDA and get the positive result from them. The agenda is focused on three aspect, first is discussion about the result from pre-inspection, second is finalization of schedule, and the last is the completeness of document related.

US-FDA will make a visit to Indonesia on 11th to 22nd of April 2016. Jakarta, Lampung, and Surabaya are the cities that will be visited. Fisheries commodities that will be the object of inspection is focused on crabs, shrimps, and medicines. The crabs and shrimps inspection will be held in Lampung and Surabaya. Some members of APRI have the opportunity to be visited by the US-FDA to see the production of crabs directly. PT. Phillips Seafood, PT. Bumi Menara Internusa, PT. Rex Canning and Frozen Industry, PT. Graha Makmur Cipta Pratama, and PT. Kelola Mina Laut are the member of APRI who will be visited for inspection. US-FDA will be visited the plant, picking station, and also cooking station.
